Ukiyo-e WorldUkiyo-e World is a non-commercial site. We intend to publish information for the experienced collector and art friend of Japanese woodblock prints and follow no strict plan. It is rather a kind of "floating world" concept. We are beginning with a series of essays written by Dan McKee, a Ph.D. candidate of Japanese literature at Cornell University, NY, USA, about the art of collecting ukiyo-e. We could hardly have found a better kick-off subject. We finance Ukiyo-e World with earnings from our commercial site artelino Art Auctions, specialized in Japanese prints and in modern Chinese prints.
